Prizegiving Assembly 16 December 2025

Tēnā koutou katoa, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Bula vinaka - Prizegiving is tomorrow, Tuesday 16 December, starting at 12 noon. At this prizegiving, we acknowledge Cultural, Sporting, Academic and Overall Excellence at Oamaru Intermediate. Students will be welcome to leave after Prizegiving, so they will be released at approximately 1.30 pm.

Please ensure that your child is in the correct clean uniform, shoulder-length hair must be tied up, and only one pair of studs is to be worn (no bracelets, necklaces or bangles). We appreciate your support with this.

Extra parking will be available on our field, entrance on Thames Highway gate, opposite the new Whitestone Cheese Deli and Diner.  Please keep the entrance way to school and the bus stop clear.

At this assembly, we will be announcing our 2026 Leadership Roles. Please understand that there were some very tough decisions made this year for our House Captains.  We had a large number of students for these positions.

After we name the House Captains, there will be some elated, happy students, but there will also be some disappointed students.  They have invested time and effort into this opportunity so it’s important that this is acknowledged.

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to wish all of you a joyful and peaceful holiday season. This is a special time to reflect, recharge, and celebrate the connections that bring us together. Let’s take the opportunity to pause, embrace gratitude, and appreciate the moments shared with whānau, friends, and loved ones.

May this holiday season inspire us to spread kindness, compassion, and positivity as we look forward to the opportunities and adventures the new year will bring. Thank you for being part of our school community and for your ongoing support throughout the year.

Have a safe, happy, and restful break. We look forward to seeing you all in 2026!
