Check out what's happening around Oamaru...

The 2025 NZ International Science Festival programme has 90+ events these coming school holidays – and most of them are free!  28 June – 6 July

We're especially excited to be hosting Dr Michelle Thaller, recently retired Deputy Director of Science Communication at NASA, for several events including an 'Ask Me Anything' session for all our young people on Sunday 29 June.

Whether you’re into gaming, quantum physics, technology, conservation, books, talks, learning through play, theatre or comedy, there’s something for everyone, no matter your age or interests.

The Festival Hub schedule is packed with hands-on fun and interesting science as well as daily seminars, workshops, and of course our Imagination Playground for the wee ones.

Teachers and Parents - there's plenty of adult focused events on too, so don't miss looking through the programme yourself too!
