What's happening around Oamaru...
Southern Football is excited to be delivering our School Holiday Football Clinics in Oamaru on Tuesday 7 July at Awamoa FC, providing boys and girls with the opportunity to develop their football skills, build confidence, stay active, and have plenty of fun in a positive environment.
Football Fundamentals Clinic

Our Football Fundamentals session is open to all abilities, whether students are completely new to football or already playing regularly. The clinic will include skill development, games, challenges, and small-sided football in a fun and engaging environment.

As you may be aware, the McKeown North Otago Heartland team is heading to Dunedin to take on Otago in a Ranfurly Shield match on Tuesday, 16 June at 6:30 pm at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
As part of the halftime entertainment at the match, NORFU players have been invited to be a part of the 7-aside year 7&8 rippa rugby games. This is a fantastic chance for our North Otago kids to be involved in a special event, support some of the premier players from their own clubs and experience the atmosphere of a Ranfurly Shield Challenge firsthand. If your club would like to be a part of this, please get in touch with Shelby.
We’re keen to get as many North Otago supporters along as possible, so we’re planning to run supporter buses from Fat Sally’s Restaurant, Ōamaru to Forsyth Barr Stadium and back. The bus will depart Fat Sally’s at 4:00 pm and return immediately after the game. At this stage, we are gathering numbers of those who would like a seat on the bus. There will be a cost for the bus, which will depend on how many people sign up. I will be in touch on Monday, 8 June with an update on pricing.
If you would like to reserve a seat, please complete the form by 11:59pm on Sunday, 7 June.
