Protect Your Students’ Vision – Free Eye Health Resources

Website: www.eyehealthaotearoa.org.nz

Why this matters for your students

Myopia (short-sightedness) is on the rise, particularly among children. Vision is vital to learning - around 80% of classroom information is processed visually. Healthy vision helps children stay engaged, confident, and able to reach their full potential. (Ref: IAPB & WHO Toolkit)

To support your school community, we’ve created free, ready-to-use resources designed to spark awareness and positive habits among students to reduce the risk of myopia.

We would love your help in sharing these resources with students and whānau. By raising awareness now, we can prevent future vision problems and safeguard children’s wellbeing for life.
