Southern Football Federation is starting Girls Football Development Sessions in Oamaru, designed to provide a positive and supportive environment where girls can develop their football skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game alongside other girls from across the region.
These sessions are open to girls of all abilities, including those who are new to football as well as those already playing. The focus will be on learning, development, and enjoyment of the game.
Sessions begin Saturday, 17 May at King George Park, Oamaru.
Session Times:
10–12 years: 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm
13+ years: 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
The sessions are free to attend, with the only cost being a training top (approximately $20–$30), which helps create a sense of team identity for the group. Over time, these sessions will also help create further opportunities for girls in the region, including potential involvement in camps and development events aligned with New Zealand Football.
